Why inspection matters
Codes can contain web addresses and other instructions that are difficult to evaluate from the printed pattern alone. LookFirst is designed to make decoded content visible before you decide how to use it.

What the current development version supports
Readable results
Display decoded text and recognize common types such as web addresses, Wi-Fi details, contacts, email, phone, locations, and cryptocurrency addresses.
Deliberate link opening
Review website destinations and confirm before opening a link.
Optional external checks
Request checks using VirusTotal or urlscan.io. These services may receive information associated with a submitted address.
Local history
Review previous scans using configurable local history retention.
No accounts or advertising
The current development version does not require an account and has no advertising or analytics.
